If you increase your intake of dietary fibres, you may experience some discomfort, such as flatulence, bloating, and abdominal pain, especially during the first days.
We recommend starting with a half dose and gradually increase the amount. Any discomforts usually disappear after a few days of use.
An allergic reaction may occur as a very rare side effect (fewer than 1 out of 10,000).
Remember to drink enough water when ingeting psyllium husks; else they may suck up the water in the gut and create a gastrointestinal blockage.
